New software could improve HD VoIP solutions
11.06.2010
A US technology company has released a new high-definition voice system
that could markedly improve VoIP solutions.
The Fusion HD Voice Engine system, developed by Unicoi Systems, will provide high-quality calls to VoIP hardware users.
Background noise will be eliminated by the acoustic and line echo cancellation feature, enabling customers to easily communicate in public areas.
The software will also be available on a variety of other platform, including radios, terminal adapters and gateways.
Greg Coonley, chief executive officer and co-founder of Unicoi Systems, claimed that the initial success of the system prompted the company to expand the service.
He said: "Our HD voice engine was so successful on the initial set of supported operating systems and processors that we were compelled to extend it to a greater range of IP telephony platforms."
