Enterprise Acme Packet, the industrial leader in matters of digital network solutions, announced that SIP Communications PLC (SIPCOM) has selected Acme Packet's Net-Net session border controllers (SBCs) for implementation within its globally deployed Microsoft Lync services
Acme Packet, is showcasing at ongoing Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2011(Los Angeles, July 10-14) and boasts to ensure secure interconnectivity by means of SIP trunks between SIPCOM's network and an other networks of tier 1 service providers. The SBCs ensure operational versatility, diminish capital expenditures and expand service outreach for the unified communications (UC) packages delivered by SIPCOM's customers. "The technology solutions we utilize in our network makes our customers and partners to deal in an effective ways time-to-market challenges," said Daniel Allen, CEO of SIPCOM. "By implementing the Acme Packet Net-Net SBCs in our network rather than their own, our customers and partners achieve all the goals while enjoying the advantages of new revenue streams from hosted services such as those based on Microsoft Lync." The wholesaler of hosted services since 2006, SIPCOM has created customers base within more than forty countries, operating a wide range of hosted white-label services throughout SIP trunks to tier 1 and hosted service providers, network and system integrators and other distributors of next-generation hosted services. By initiating Acme Packet's Net-Net SBCs, SIPCOM is assisting its service provider customers facilitate time-to-market for next-generation hosted voice, data and unified communications services based on Microsoft Lync Server 2010. Acme Packet's SBCs also ensure SIPCOM to become fully flexible from bandwidth transporting matters -agnostic. By means of peering agreements with many of the world's leading service providers, SIPCOM's customers can license UC sessions directly from SIPCOM while retaining the flexibility of partnering with preferred carriers for transport of service taffic.
