Belarusian internet service provider Alternative Digital Network (ADN) has signed a contract with French-US equipment manufacturer Alcatel-Lucent for the supply of Ethernet broadband access solutions as part of its deployment of a next generation network (NGN).

In a press release Alca-Lu said the deal will enable the ISP to restructure its network infrastructure to allow for the delivery of advanced services to residential and business customers, including triple-play. In addition, the vendor’s new platform will facilitate the roll out of new multimedia services, it said. ‘Our customers increasingly want to take full advantage of the voice, video and data services available from an advanced and efficient communications network.

They expect flexible, reliable and affordable services and we are committed to exceeding their expectations,’ said ADN’s managing director Igor Sukach. ‘Alcatel-Lucent’s Ethernet access solution enables us to evolve our network as our customers’ demands change,’ he added.
