Canadian Primus Telecom expands wholesale VoIP exchanges across the country
Canadian company Primus Telecommunications Canada, a communications operator with the customers base of 600,000 entities within its suite of applications and services, announced its VoIP services are fully available in an additional 240 exchanges throughout Canada.
The growth enables more Canadian businesses and organizations to enjoy telecommunications services at an highly attractive price. The operational augmentation is the part of Primus continued investment strategy. Wholesale clients in these newly established exchanges will also be able to receive a full spectrum of cost effective services connecting to Primus' national and international coverage points, company boasted. The expansion is deemed to address growing customer demand for sophisticated technology, lower costs, and outreach of the same services as the major urban centers. “Within the last three years, hundreds of businesses and consumers have chosen Primus VoIP services which are feature-rich, and specifically to back up massive cost savings and productivity improvements," noted AJ Byers, executive vice president, Primus Business Services,"With modern expansion of our footprint by 240 exchanges, about four million more Canadians have augmented selection in services so they too can figure out greater value for their money," Byers added.More than 50 percent of Primus business customers are taking IP-based technology for associated telephony connectivity. Primus Home Phone customers can save up to $60 per month compared to existing offerings by other phone companies, with plans starting at $9.99 per month. Primus business customers can save more than 40 percent on their monthly communication bills compared traditional wired telephone connections. Primus provides choice with hosted phone systems, SIP Trunking services and other Voice over IP solutions for $7.95 per month.Recently, Primus Telecommunications rolled out innovative Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Trunking service for small business VoIP customers in Canada. This pilot project is running with OSM Solar (OSM), a growing company that designs, assembles, manufactures and sells out Photovoltaic Solar panels in Canada. The service is available in metered or unmetered options, so it removes the need for costly moves, adds, or changes. Because of highest scalability, companies are not restricted to channel size of a PRI and can add more capacity at any time so they never have to pay for capacity that is not in use.The cloud-based small business VoIP service, available through Primus Canada Business Services, provides SMBs with a cost-effective and flexible communications service.
