CounterPath promotes solutions for efficient BYOD concept
The modern trends of companies accepting a wider spectrum of smartphones and tablets as the latest concept of BYOD (bring your own device)makes IT people have their work cut out for them, when putting all the efforts to manage all of these items.
In order to augment an another level of complexity, they have to configure differentiated mobile VoIP applications being deployed in framework of the company. However, in addressing this relatively new trends, CounterPath has forwarded on the market the Bria softphone, paired with the company's cloud-based Client Configuration Server (CCS), delivers a cost-effective and optimal solution, enabling IT managers to distribute and manage Bria thru different devices. "Bria and our cloud-based application is a superb solution for our corporate customers looking to overcome the basic BYOD challenges and facilitate the implementation of a unified communications products through their organizations," stated Todd Carothers, CounterPath VP of Sales and Marketing, in a press release. "CIOs are always searching for CounterPath and other softphone manufacturers to handle the array of devices and OSs that can quickly deliver a lot of anxiety in the BYOD era." Bria is a SIP based product that empowers users to forward video calls, send messages, configure their presence and interrelate with peers from within a single engine which also is attached with call recording and other innovative enterprise features. Customers are allowed to use Windows, Mac and Linux on the desktop, as well as iOS and Android smartphones and units. CCS is a corporate-level platform that is deployable specifically for service providers and corporations that have Bria softphones. There are massively evolving trends, when customers can implement CCS either on-premise or as a completely hosted communications packages. The hosted basis provides the added advantages of allowing companies to spread out their employee communications to mobile devices without needs to deploy an added CapEx outside of acquiring mobile softphone apps. Also, service providers can manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) thru Bria softphone endpoints in a simplistic way. This all is finalized with the easy management of utilities, as much as desired and with the low expenditures. For instances, CCS' API or Web interface can be implemented to alter all the Bria clients or customers groups, while Bria brings in with the hosted infrastructure to get configuration updates.
