It is understood that the cellco is using equipment provided by Swedish vendor Ericsson, and the trials are being conducted around Solaris, Estonia's largest conference and event centre, situated in the capital Tallinn. EMT, a subsidiary of Nordic telecoms group TeliaSonera, is following in the footsteps of the parent company’s activities in Sweden and Norway, where it announced in December 2009 that it had commenced offering commercial LTE services. TeliaSonera’s Finnish unit is also understood to be building out 4G infrastructure.
