Facebook insiders gets Vonage VoIP connectivity

On August, 4 Vonage declared the appearance and implementation of a new application for the iPhone and Android mobile operating systems. Now users are able to forward and receive free VoIP calls to Facebook counterparts who have the application.
The Vonage application is accessible as a free download, and operates over Wi-Fi or 3G/4G networks in majority of countries. It implements existing Facebook accounts, so users are not obliged to input phone numbers or any other relayed information. Calls are being executed once a user selects a Facebook friend and begins talking.

The application is available in the App Store and Android Market, via Vonage's Facebook fan page, or at After being downloaded, the application prompts the user to invite additional friends to use the service. Users can make calls to friends even if those friends do not have the active Vonage application; the ringtone on a phone system will be delivered anyway.

The application is available now in 48 countries through the Android Market and 87 countries in the iTunes App Store.
