MIPS Technologies, Inc. announced that support for the innovative MIPS concept
(Microprocessor without Interlocked Pipeline Stages) is included in brand new
SkypeKit™ developer tools from Skype.
As we informed before, SkypeKit closed beta program is an innovative approach for
dedicated vendors from skype company, and now MIPS Technologies has developed
a Skype reference implementation
Developers now have the technical options to build Skype functionality into MIPS-
Based™ devices such as DTVs (Direct to TV) setup boxes and digital adaptors of
different designation.
