Company Interoute, being the holder of large European cloud infrastructure, has announced the release of dedicated proprietary hosted service within the Lync environment.
By collaborating Hosted Lync with its IP video services, Interoute is making Lync consumers to conjoin and host telepresence events by means of any other end-point, using universally as cellular phones and tablets, as premises located and full-fledged telepresence packages, disregarding kind of connectivity and as an element of a regular service package. Interoute has also combined its Microsoft approved SIP trunking functionalities, empowering its Hosted Lync bundles to be processed with complete wired (PSTN) and mobile termination, as well as incoming phone calls with DDIs in couple of dozen countries. Interoute’s hosted Lync is a product in framework of the Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) concept that is built on company’s Virtual Data Centre (VDC) product as a turnkey application. The service can be installed and configured in a couple of days’ time period, preventing the similar deployments to be held in half of year time span. Provided at a fixed rate per subscriber, Interoute Hosted Lync also prevents the necessity for organizations to invest funds in design, acquisition and managing the product as a mechanism. Quite innovative feature of this product is that it appears along with collaboration of Interoute's Video as a Service Cloud, thus making all company’s clients to use, initiate video conferencing events disregarding the geographical locations or timing, as well as embracing IP, ISDN or any other kind of network. Recent Gartner research states that by 2016, more than half of the workforce will work from a mobile or tablet device. As companies come to real migration plans into the cloud and mobile environment, as well as BYOD trends, the role of IT departments to launch procedures of mobile capability and options to communicate remotely, using universal means of connectivity, will be growing exponentially. Matthew Finnie, Interoute’s CTO explained, "In modern business world, communication has to be processed smoothly in framework of multiple devices and in disparate formats, deploying VoIP, IP video, IM or other networks. The requirements for really flexible and full-fledged communications are a vital necessity, not the game. The release of Interoute's Hosted Lync utility is an excellent example of this revolutionary changes, making a more capable workforce, whilst cutting the issues for businesses to deploy and handle new costly technology." Interoute was the pioneering European service vendor to be approved by Microsoft for proprietary SIP trunking 2010, thus boosting overall efficiency, and processing more than one billion VoIP minutes per month. Also, Interoute is one of continent’s biggest Video Conferencing vendors.
