Japanese company releases new innovative VoIP switch
Japanese enterprise OKI has announced about provisional expansion of he functionality of the application CenterStage NX3200, its corporate level session border controller (SBC), designed for interconnectivity among other fixed KDDI VoIP network carriers. First such product was first delivered to KDDI one year ago, as the response to the impending depletion of IPv4 addresses.
KDDI ensures the interconnection of fixed VoIP networks. In order to achieve successful interconnections with other carriers, it has to integrate all the SIP associated differences smoothly while securing connectivity with different end-points and services. Additionally, it has to provide reliable, high-quality voice communications. OKI's NX3200 fulfills all these quite stringent requirements and it has been chosen as a subsequent SBC to interconnect with other KDDI VoIP network carriers. 'NX3200 offers broad spectrum session control functionality growing up to a maximum of more than 40,000 simultaneous connected sessions, ensuring the procedures on ATCA and the CenterStage HAPF platform, as well as an industry-leading accessibility of nearly 100% annual operational rates (OKI-measured value),' stated Hidetoshi Saigou, General Manager of Info-telecom Systems Division at OKI.
