LG-Ericsson deploys ES-3000 series VoIP switches
LG-Ericsson USA has expanded its iPECS ES-3000 switch series with the deployment of four new items. According to the company, the switches are particularily designed to support moden unified communications applications. The newly presented 1U-high ES-3000 switches are 802.3az-compliant and excellent from the environmental considerations.
The new addition consists with ES-3050, ES-3050P ES-3052G and ES-3052GP switches. Advantages of the products are associated with the intuitive installation, corporate-class Layer 2 switching with Ethernet and fast Ethernet and Gigabit connectivity. These completely managed L2 switches have been created to ensure versatility, security, ease of management and eco-consciousness to address the requirements of today’s high-performance network environments, as boasted by LG-Ericsson.In addition of a power-saving green Ethernet arrangement, the new switches also integrate simple and understandable configuration with management features by means of the unique LG-Ericsson Unified Device Manager (UDM). All the switches connect just merely to any major network. All four products have been designed to support comprehensive QoS and security. Switches are able to support unified communications applications that are focused on the networking operational procedures with data communication, VoIP signal and video files transmitting. Having inbuilt so called priority marking feature ensures effective traffic management in the most demanding mixed (voice/data/video) environments, while 802.1x/RADIUS/TACACS+ authentication, encryption, guest VLAN and more keep it secure. The switches can process in both directions traffic seamlessly in full-duplex mode as well as at non-blocking wire speed mode. Every port supports up to 2Gbps of bandwidth for transmitting and receiving packets in full-duplex mode, and supports automated uplink, making the switches easy to deploy or upgrade within the network, LG explained in a press release. “These innovative ES-3000 switches take port-density, resilience, function and associated savings a vast step ahead. Scaled for all kinds of demanding applications, these switches are ideal for today’s do-it-all, mission-critical Unified Communications applications. And, in these new Gigabit ES-3052G and 3052GP switches, we’ve committed to progress our commitment to green technology, taking them to the next level with 802.3az energy efficiency,” LG-Ericsson USA’s director of product marketing Iain Kenney explained in a statement. ES-3050, ES-3050P ES-3052G and ES-3052GP switches are available now across LG-Ericsson USA’s expert partners and authorised resellers. The products are also backed by LG-Ericsson USA’s lifetime warranty and the company’s expert, US headquarters-based technical support. Literally several days before LG-Ericsson launched the LG-Ericsson iPECS-MG Business-Enabled Communications System. The new solution added to the company’s portfolio of comprehensive business communications solutions to back up broad-spectrum voice, video and data communications management needs of modern dynamic business operations.
