MC Lync Unified Communications platform is about to be upgraded in 2013
Microsoft’s Lync UC platform is anticipated to be upgraded in 2013, scheduled to ensure more important features and collaboration for voice and video sectors of communications.
The details of a release have not been revealed, but it’s likely that the cloud based PBX will not be powerful enough to substitute traditional PBX systems where classical desktop phones are still the general communication means deployed. Expecting this release in 2013, Microsoft has introduced specific H.264 video coding that will enable users to see video on an array of screen types, such as large conferencing displays and minor smartphone displays, as boasted by UC Strategies report. The cloud based PBX upgrade will enable up to and including five users to come up on the screen simultaneously, thus making it a significant step ahead compared to the existing platform that makes just one user on the screen at a time. The virtual PBX also enables users with IP networks to launch a video conference by means of their tablet computers and smartphones. The excellent connectivity is being enabled with customer being able to implement audio and video telephony by means of a Wi-Fi signal. iPads are getting the popularity in a segment of tablet computers with thousands of users keeping them at work, and just about anywhere else they travel. These iPad consumers will find the cloud PBX product attractive, as it will make them to join any kind of a conference and instant messaging with peers on Lync. Also, the virtual PBX has been reported to operate well with Windows 8. Having an estimated 600 million Skype users out there today, Microsoft produced its new virtual PBX platform so the half of billion of Skype consumers can forward audio and video sessions with Lync. The upgraded Lync will be a more effective product and will be accessible to users who use Windows 8, iOS, Android and Windows Phone. It’s anticipated that employees involved in such sectors as engineering and finance analysis, will get a lot of benefits from the unified communications solutions brought up by Lync.
