Company BroadSoft Inc. a provider of dedicated software designed to ensure mobile, fixed-line and cable service providers to bring up real-time telecommunications across their IP networks, announced about intentions to acquire all shares of Phoenix, Ariz.-based iLinc Communications Inc.
This merger is logical finalization in order to satisfy various customary closing conditions. iLinc is a provider of Web conferencing applications for businesses, governments and educational entities worldwide. The firm's Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)-based web collaboration utilities offer companies to effectively and with the minimum investments, learn and collaborate. “Incorporation of additional unified communications services, such as Web collaboration, indicates the desire by enterprises for a broad range of communication applications," said Michael Tessler, chief executive officer, Broadsoft. "We are sure that by integrating iLinc into our unified communications services offering we will help our service provider customers meet the communication needs of businesses of all sizes."According to an official statement, the acquisition of iLinc and its Web collaboration SaaS offering will strengthen BroadSoft's BroadCloud services capabilities that include high-definition (HD) video conferencing, consumer fixed-line SMS and network assessment and monitoring capabilities."For more than a decade we have been offering an intuitive web conferencing solution to enterprises that service a variety of industries to meet their unique needs," said James M.
