Motorola’s smartphone Droid X Sold Out during one day
As reported on 16 July, Motorola’s smartphone ‘’Droid X’’ has been sold out just one day after debuting on open market. Backorder is growing up slowly, but steadily.
Droid X has set of unique features: 4.3-inch WVGA (480 x 800) touchscreen, 1 GHz processor (Google Android OS 2.1.), 16 GB of storage (8 GB internal plus 8 GB micro SDmemory card) ; due to Google's operating system, phone is packed with a set of communication and entertainment software, such as a powerful web browser, Google Maps, YouTube, Gmail, music and video players. Over 50,000 different applications are available in Android Market. Model ‘’Droid X’’ supports Verizon's 3G mobile broadband (EV-DO Rev. A) network, and also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a GPS receiver. Additionally, phone has 8 megapixel camera/video recorders. The shortage in supply is not surprise to industry watchers, due to facts that pre- release interest for Verizon's launched new ‘’flagship’’ smartphone was very high. Verizon promise supply of ordered phones on one week notice. It has been priced at $200, after $100 rebate with a two year contract.
