Barablu's technology is designed to allow contacts from Skype and Google Talk to be transferred to a Wi-Fi enabled mobile phone for free calls. Users can call anyone from their contact list without being tied to their PCs. In addition to voice calls, users can also send and receive free texts and voice mail, with a Wi-Fi enabled phone.

The service is available through a free download. The software is sent to the mobile phone via SMS and automatically configures onto the phone in a simple operation which in less than a minute.
Marcus O'Reilly added at the 3GSM World Congress, "This is the future of telephony. Everything is going to be wireless and barablu will be at the forefront of this development".
