Endeavor Telecom to Install VoIP Services for Vonage 2006-09-15
Under a recently announced contract, Atlanta, Georgia-based Endeavor Telecom agreed to install VoIP services for Vonage residential and SOHO customers in 39 cities throughout the U.S.

The contract initiated the new Vonage professional installation program, performed by Endeavor, making available Vonage's services to every traditional telephone in a residential and SOHO environment. The Vonage/Endeavor installation program's installation cost starts at $ 99.95, and also includes professional testing and quality control services.

Since "installing" Vonage is a plug-n-play affair, it seems that the company's move to offer this kind of service would target those customers who are a bit technically-challenged, those who just don't want to bother with a software download to activate voicemail features, or small companies with multiple phone stations.

"Endeavor increases Vonage's value proposition by giving customers a convenient alternative to self-installation. We understand that some people just don't want the hassle, nor do they have the time to install Vonage themselves. For those customers who are intimidated by new technologies, professional installation makes the switch to Vonage easy by giving people a hassle-free way to get Vonage set-up in your home or small office," said Mike Snyder, CEO of Vonage Holdings Corp. in a statement.

"Over the last six months, we've witnessed Endeavor's expertise throughout a successful pilot program, and now through ongoing deployments. Endeavor's comprehensive installations help to ensure a smooth transition to our service," concluded Snyder.

Today's news follows Vonage's announcement about now offering service within Coral, Michigan's local area code 231. The move will enable high-speed Internet subscribers working and residing in the northern part of Maple Valley Township to receive Vonage's broadband phone service, which offers unlimited local and long distance calling and features like call waiting, call forwarding and voicemail.

Vonage also offers Michigan local area code selection in Ann Arbor, Detroit, Flint, Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo.
