Free VoIP engine for noncommercial Windows Mobile apps

GIPS says its technology is currently being used by a number of VoIP application providers including Skype, Tencent, and Inter-tel. Additionally, VoiceEngine Mobile Lite is interoperable with Google Talk''s peer-to-peer and voice calling capabilities, according to the company.
GIPS CEO Gary P. Hermansen stated, "As VoIP technology emerges as an important solution in the wireless space, the availability of VoiceEngine Mobile Lite provides a strong set of tools to create almost any non-commercial application. We believe this unique environment will help facilitate innovation and creativity in the mobile VoIP marketplace while allowing developers to experience GIPS technology."
VoiceEngine Mobile Lite is available, following free registration, to members of the GIPS Developer Community. The Community features software, demo applications, and an online forum for peer-to-peer development support, according to GIPS. Members also have access to VoIP test tools and a video tutorial.
VoiceEngine Mobile Lite currently supports WiFi-enabled devices running Windows Mobile 5.0 and Windows Mobile 2003, GIPS says.
