Jajah Cries Foul as Ebay Bans Their VoIP Buttons

Jajah released a set of tools to allow you to embed their service buttons on a number of websites. While they were at it, they also included one that allowed sellers to include a link in their eBay auctions so that customers could call the seller to ask questions.
Though buttons were also created for sites such as LinkedIn and MySpace, it seems eBay had an objection to the idea, and promptly deleted all auctions that had the button installed.
According to eBay this button violates their links policy which does not allow links in auctions to outside sites. They also claim that all communication between buyers and sellers take place within their platform for everyone's safety.
While eBay does own Skype, the popular VoIP service, and they do allow it to be used in listings, it is done under certain guidelines. The link is placed above the actual auction listing, and it is also allowed only in certain categories.
For the time being, Jajah has requested that users stop embedding the button as they do not wish to be in conflict with eBay, and don't want their users auction listings deleted. They do plan to survey their customer base to see how many of them are also eBay sellers, and if there is a high enough number, they will talk with the auction company about working out a solution.
