LiteScape Enhances Avaya's VoIP Solutions 2007-01-03
Given the variety of IP-based communications options available to businesses of all sizes today, an opportunity exists in being able to enhance the value of IP solutions by building connectivity between disparate platforms, effectively eliminating the need to invest in a new consolidated system.  Not only does this approach same time and money for the customer, but it also allows them to choose individual best-of-breed products to incorporate into their IP networks.

LiteScape Technologies is one such company that has undertaken the challenge of integrating solutions from different vendors into a single platform, providing secure, converged communications solutions for its customers.  With its technology, LiteScape is able to extend the value (and lifetime) of enterprises, such as enabling business applications to be accesses from any device on the network.  LiteScape already works closely with many of leading vendors and service providers, including Cisco, WebEx, Micrsoft, AT&T, and others.

Now, LiteScape has announced its Multi-modal Application Platform (MAP) has undergone and passed interoperability testing with IP solutions from Avaya.  Version 4.3 of the platform, which has been proven compatible with Avaya Communication Manager, includes collaboration, broadcast, call tracking, and identity management applications that streamline communications processes to enhance security and improve productivity within the enterprise.

“With LiteScape applications, enterprises are able to use Intelligent Communications to connect employees and customers to information from wherever they are, over whatever device they have available — getting more out of their multivendor network and delivering new value to their bottom line,” said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya.

LiteScape’s MAP enables real-time management of voice, data, and video sessions that need to be delivered to IP endpoints.  Using a set of flexible configurations, security features, and interactive multi-modal capabilities, enterprises can introduce increased collaboration into their business processes and applications, thereby increasing productivity as well the value of their network.

The testing was designed and conducted as part of LiteScape’s premier membership in Avaya’s DevConnet Program, which promotes compatibility between products and solutions from Avaya and other vendors.

“By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like LiteScape who are members of our DeveloperConnection program, Avaya promotes fully interoperable solutions that help businesses unleash powerful new possibilities,” said Rossman.
