NexTone and PortaOne Join to Offer VoIP Providers an Integrated SIP-H.323 Switching and Billing Solution

The NexTone MSX (Multi-protocol Session Exchange), when used together with PortaBilling100 for NexTone, allows service providers to create a flexible and scalable VoIP network while ensuring consistent service quality, protection, and security. By applying its signaling intelligence at the edge of the network, the NexTone MSX adapts session signaling to enable carriers to interconnect their SIP and H.323 networks, while PortaBilling100 for NexTone provides call authentication and authorization as well as billing information.

Like other products in the PortaOne portfolio, PortaBilling100 for NexTone is provided with source code and an unlimited perpetual license. We also provide customized training at customer premises as well as 24/7 support and maintenance.”
With its most recent enhancements to the NexTone Real-time Session Manager (RSM), NexTone extended Least Cost Routing (LCR) functionality to Lossless LCR to permit margin-based routing decisions. The NexTone MSX continually streams session detail record data collected at interconnects back to the RSM for analysis of session performance. Users can extract performance reports based on route ASR, cost/revenue, and more from the RSM.
