Siemens and Verizon Team for VoIP Migration

While current HiPath 4000 customers can utilize Verizon IP trunking for local and long distance calling and converged applications, Verizon customers also benefit as they now have another choice in IP PBX platforms - the HiPath 4000. Verizon has also certified Cisco and Avaya platforms and will announce Nortel certification later this month; Verizon can support additional third party IP PBXs via a customer trial process.
Customers who choose Verizon IP Trunking Services can take advantage of Verizon's end-to-end support for their VoIP platform (design, deployment and maintenance), as well as professional services such as network architecture and VoIP security assessments.
TelecomTactics Takeaway: Siemens has recently announced new partnerships that aim to expand its customer base. Last month, Siemens signed an OEM agreement with IBM that allows IBM to license elements of Siemens OpenScape unified communications for IBM's Lotus Unified Telephony solution. Now Siemens and Verizon Business have certified Siemens HiPath 4000 IP PBX with Verizon IP Trunking Services. Not only will Siemens HiPath 4000 customers have the option to utilize Verizon's IP Trunking Services for local and long distance calling and to run converged applications across a corporate wide area network, but Verizon customers now have another choice in IP PBX platforms as they transition to VoIP.
