Panasonic Introduces Full HD Camcorder suitable for VoIP calls and PC chats

On 27 July 2010, Panasonic introduces the new HDC-SDX1, reported to be the
world's lightest full-High Definition (HD) camcorder, having an ultra-compact body
and weighing just under 0.41 lbs. The new Panasonic SDX1 is equipped by a 35.8mm
wide-angle lens, 23x Intelligent Zoom and can also be implemented as a Web camera
with integrated capabilities for Internet video calling.
The camcorder not only creates and captures HD video content, the SDX1 also
works as a Web camera and microphone, providing users with connectivity with
online video calls and chats programs, such as Skype. Just connecting the SDX1 to a
computer, users can enjoy face-to-face communication with relatives or friends in any
geographical locations worldwide. Additionally, the SDX1 supports ‘’Apple iFrame’’
video format for handy loading and editorial works of image data with a Mac(R)
computers. Users can straightly upload video files to YouTube(TM) or Facebook(R)
without need to start a browser, it provides speedy sharing of video materials.
The Panasonic HDC-SDX1 device also is equipped with brand new concept of
optical performance: HYBRID Optical Image Stabilization system (O.I.S.), it is an
image stabilization system that enables optical and electronic elimination of hand-
shake influence, additionally, so called O.I.S lock could be switched on for even
more handshake correction. Once O.I.S. Lock button is pressed on the LCD monitor,
the blur detection sensitivity is maximized and camera movements are counted by
correlations and corrected.
Being compact and lightweight, the SDX1 is filled with advanced features. It has
full-HD AVCHD recording capabilities with impeccable 1920 x 1080 image quality,
and all recording are executed in the MP4 format, so PC friendly one. Its 35.8mm
wide-angle adjustments are suitable for recording indoors images, as well as taking
landscapes outdoors. It can record voices clearly at far distances. The Intelligent
Zoom function, enabled with the Intelligent Resolution technology in frames of new
image processing LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) technology, can provide incredible
zoom power up to 23x fro photo and video shots.
