RedSky Technologies, Inc., a vendor of automated E911 solutions, has released its enterprise Next Generation solution integrating E911 Manager and RedSky Horizon elements. The organizations can use enterprise telephone systems, if they are responsible for processing their own 9-1-1 calls, in accordance with Company’s officials, RedSky solution enables such entities to keep total control of the 9-1-1 call from dial to dispatch.
RedSky described that any big entities such as colleges and universities, industrial campuses, all can benefit from RedSky's features to manage caller location from within the enterprise using E911 Manager and retransmit NENA i3-compliant, SIP-based calls to an premises located Next Generation 9-1-1 public safety answering point (PSAP). Additionally, RedSky Horizon application has a feature and ability to connect legacy PSTN and any kind of LECs, CLECs, wireless carriers and VoIP service providers. This array allows the on-site PSAP to accept 9-1-1 calls from any outside body of the enterprise telephone system. Calls from within an organization's domain are circulating within that domain. "The close integration of E911 Manager with the Next Generation RedSky Horizon product suite delivers telecom and public safety users a one-window shop for their 9-1-1 inquiries," says Jerry Eisner, ENP, group director-Public Safety at RedSky. "While we have competitors in the separate vertical structure of Enterprise and Next Generation 9-1-1, only RedSky manages the 9-1-1 call from arrival to delivery for the campus-built enterprise system." Company reported details of its enterprise solution: E911 Manager integrates with call servers/PBXs to track phone location movement and monitor for 9-1-1 calls within the Enterprise. E911 Manager also automatically updates phone locations in both the RedSky Horizon Location Information Server for on-campus locations and its cloud-based E911 Anywhere for off-campus locations to deliver accurate location information to all emergency responders. E911 Manager Version 6 operates in a virtual environment or on a specific server and is highly scalable and reliable. The Version 6 can support up to 50 call servers/PBXs and up to 100,000 endpoints. Additional consoles extend the application to deliver notifications of 9-1-1 calls in progress and provide location tracking for WiFi and softphones. E911 Manager works smoothly with all the major VoIP telephony platform providers such as Avaya, Cisco and Siemens and supports SIP endpoints. RedSky's solution provides highly available, redundant components that ensure delivery of every 9-1-1 call to on-site enterprise PSAPs.
