Sangoma demonstrates upgraded transcoding NetBorder Gateway
Sangoma Technologies Corporation, a leading vendor of IP communications firmware and software elements that support utilities and platforms for VoIP and data processing, has announced the roll out of its dedicated gateway, the most modern product in the ever expanding industry of gateway appliances to support enterprises globally.
This new NetBorder Transcoding Gateway designed to speed up the mutual interconnectivity between VoIP applications and networks with dynamic process of transcoding within a broad spectrum of codecs-as in low-bandwidth as within HD, thus using rapidly growing enterprise communications span. "The option to efficiently forward calls that implement different codecs without compromising on voice quality is getting much more important to VoIP practical consumers," explained Adam Sherman CTO at Versature, Inc. headquartered in Ottawa, Canada. Versature is in the beta process for NetBorder Transcoding Gateway, deploying the product for several weeks. "Sangoma's Transcoding Gateway delivers to a mighty engine to satisfy the insatiable demands of clients in a single application. It makes users to get all the advantages from the practical codec advancements in getting good call quality and cutting bandwidth without getting tangled into complexities of codec mutual suitability." The innovative NetBorder Transcoding Gateway brings up bandwidth savings in VoIP and SIP implementations with backup for truly narrow G.723.1 and G.729 codecs. Moreover, the appliance makes smooth connections between different SIP breeds such as those associated with various RTP packet sizes. Apart from the delivery of excellent bandwidth efficiency, the Transcoding Gateway provides numerous features for effective voice quality. In attachment to the impressive asset of narrowband codecs, backup for HD voice codecs such as G.722 and G.722.1 enables it possible for HD and non-HD ensured devices to work conjointly. Within sensitive networks that are prone to packet loss, and end-point degradation of voice quality, more reliable codecs such as iLBC can be implemented to support the performance and ensure stable call quality. Deliverable as a 1U product, the NetBorder Transcoding Gateway heavily supports mutual transcoding between any associated codec such as iLBC, GSM-FR and usual SIP and HD voice filling. These can be processed on a per call platform allowing for comprehensive flexibility and the gateway can execute nearly 4000 simultaneous calling sessions. The utility delivers also very low latency processing to backup low-jitter and smooth call quality. "Transcoding algorithm is quite a executive processor saturated and can fully disorganize other functionalities in overall server built sub-systems," stated Julien Nephtali, product manager at Sangoma. "The implementation of a dedicated appliance massively eases up these negative impacts and efficiently makes the transcoding that always getting ever more demanded as users take the benefits of most modern codec technology." Sangoma always demonstrated an industry-leading engines marketing portfolio that make efficient interworking of a huge amount of unpaired TDMand IP networks, protocols, SaaS, firmware, and VoIP deployments. Its product line contains award-winning voice and data utilities, transcoding software, and unique gateway solutions, applied for easy integration with open and closed sources VoIP PBXs, Contact Centers, UC Systems and Service Provider Networks.
