German snom technology AG has committed and demonstrated holistic approach on pairing its IP phone products lineup with Microsoft Lync over the last couple of years. snom currently announced three of its Unified Communications business phones completely compatible with the Microsoft Lync platform with expected augmentation to be introduced soon.
In order to demonstrate to VoIP solution providers company unchangeable attitude about its partnership with Microsoft Lync, snom has just commenced a new beta release of hardware for associated snom UC business phone lineup for MS Lync. The brand new snom software, named Apollo, as attached with all new features and management capabilities created particularly to speed up factual deploying and simple operating Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Enterprise Voice and snom UC purposes phones in vast corporate level business environments. “Apollo provides a spectrum of new capabilities to support massive multisite deployment of VoIP enabled Microsoft Lync with snom SIP-built enterprise phones more efficiently and easier,” stated Mike Storella, snom technology chief operating officer. “Distributors and businesses entities will appreciate the technical advantages of these management and operational array that is designed for basic savings for relayed Lync deployments.” Apollo ensures collaborated configuration and management of snom UC phones within Microsoft Lync Server backing up “plug and play” attitude. Almost all major software update can now be proceeded and handled from the MS server, as well as credentials changes, and hot keys for consumers with several accounts. The new hardware also brings up support for call embedding and integration with efficient branch appliances for unimpeded telecommunication in times of WAN outage, as boasted by snom officials. The new application also provides support for Microsoft Lync authorized snom UC phones, which contain snom 300, 370 and snom 821 series. Having all these innovations, snom expands support for essential features that further collaborate the phone with Lync’s options such as music on hold, presence clicks and other features. snom’s UC Apollo Beta is now reachable for testing. All members of snom’s network of authorized VAR partners and customers are eligible to test the beta product of the new snom UC lineup. All comments will be considered for using into the RTM code for the last release, before the qualification process by Microsoft, as stated by the company.
