Greek broadband operator Hellas Online (HOL) has passed the milestone of 300,000 customers on its local loop unbundling (LLU) network, up from 120,000 at the beginning of 2009.
The growth puts HOL second in the Greek LLU market behind ForthNet, which reported 315,500 unbundled subscribers at end-December 2009.

HOL said its take-up has been helped by its strategic partnership with mobile operator Vodafone Greece, and yesterday the pair announced new discounts on bundled fixed and mobile services aimed at professionals and the self-employed signing up before 6 April. Takers will receive discounts when bundling any Vodafone Unlimited Business/Flexible plan with a HOL dual-play package of fixed telephony and broadband.
