Slovenia’s leading cable network operator Telemach is set to complete its planned merger with its largest remaining regional subsidiary, UPC Ljubljanski kabel, according to a report by Dvenik.si.

In mid-2009 the cable group announced a takeover of the remaining stake in the Ljubljana-based operator, and later squeezed out one tenth of minority shareholders. Telemach set aside over EUR642,000 (USD877,000) for around 9.5% of the company, which generated EUR7.6 million in net sale revenue and around EUR2.5 million in net profit in 2008, according to the latest available data. UPC Ljubljanski kabel had EUR9.4 million in assets at the end of 2008, a year which Telemach (formerly known as UPC Telemach) concluded with EUR107 million in assets and 80% in financial obligations towards associated companies.
