TIC to quadruple network capacity in 2010

plans to extend the National Internet Network (NIN) to achieve true
national coverage over the next twelve months.
According to a report by news agency Zawya, state-owned Iranian firm Telecommunications Infrastructure Company (TIC) has announced that it plans to extend the National Internet Network (NIN) to achieve true national coverage over the next twelve months.
The company added that the expansion project would also increase network capacity fourfold. Mohammad Ali Aryanian, deputy director of IT for TIC, said that contractors were in the process of setting up facilities and equipment for the upgrade, which will come on stream within six months.
