Company Internet2, being the notoriuos global networking consortium, has announced a strategic agreement with Level 3 Comms and Aastra, two telecommunications giants, in order to support managed VoIP services to numerous college campuses across the United States. Two Universities are already among the initial consumers who will deploy the new services.
Aastra has demonstrated the solution at recent ACUTA 41st Annual Conference and Exhibition event in Indianapolis. VoIP SIP Services from Internet2 is the most modern in an impressive list of telecoms services that Internet2 has offered to its customers. Current hosted VoIP PBX and SIP Trunking conjoined service prevent massive potential investments in capital expense to build up a private telecommunications network on an organization’s campus. By promoting the infrastructure designed by Internet2, along with two partners, member institutions acquires carrier-level service at an extremely cost-effective manner.
