US operator AT&T Inc has revealed its intentions to invest up to USD1 billion in 2010, as it looks to improve its products and services both for corporate customers on the world stage, and for small businesses in its domestic market.

AT&T, which is the second largest cellular operator by subscribers in the country, noted that including this year’s planned CAPEX, it will have spent more than USD4 billion since 2006 on its business-related operations. The latest spend will go towards global network expansion for business customers, upgrade work on high speed networks at home and abroad, and the introduction of a number of hardware expansions.

In addition, AT&T is hoping to improve its emerging mobility applications and cloud-computing and hosting services for business users.
