Vodafone Portugal has announced the introduction of a triple play bundle of voice, internet and TV services based on its own fibre-optic network.
Known as Vodafone Casa com Fibra, the new package offers internet access at speeds of up to 300Mbps and high-definition television for an unlimited number of television sets in the house without additional costs.

Available in selected areas of Lisbon and Almada municipalities, the package will be extended to other adjacent urban areas, including Cascais, Oeiras and Sintra municipalities as well as the city of Porto. It is expected to reach 200,000 homes in Greater Lisbon and Porto.

In addition to building its own next generation network (NGN), Vodafone is working to conclude partnership agreements with owners of other NGNs, such as Sonaecom, which will enable it to offer the fibre optic package to other urban areas, with the aim of covering a million homes.

In the areas where Vodafone today launched its Vodafone Casa com Fibra offer, a promotional campaign will be launched called 'First Subscriptions', offering exclusive terms for customers who subscribe by 31 August 2010: TV, Internet and telephone from EUR29.90 a month and with the opportunity to try it without obligation during the first 3 months, Cellular-News reports.
