VoIP wholesale provider Broadvox moves into media industry
Company Broadvox, being prominent industrial player in Unified Communications, has nominated Calysto, a global public relations and social media marketing firm to build up new public relations and social media marketing strategies. Broadvox is putting some efforts on mass media in order to leverage the expansion of its collaboration and communications solutions.
As integral part of this agreement, Calysto will launch a robust public relations program for the unified communications solutions provider. This program will contain creation of press releases, messages and other written materials, accompanied by speakers’ bureau, media, analyst and bloggers activities. Calysto will also work on strategizing the social media efforts of Broadvox by means of a full-scale LinkedIn presence.
“Because of our cloud-based business model, Calysto was able to quickly assemble a VP-level team for Broadvox with team members located in both Atlanta and Dallas, near the Cypress and Broadvox headquarters respectively,” said Laura Borgstede, Calysto CEO, in a statement. “It’s just one example of how Calysto’s cloud-based business model allows us to cost-effectively assemble an experienced, custom-built team that meets each client’s unique needs.”
Broadvox has been providing wholesale VoIP services to end users throughout the U.S. over a robust U.S. IP network. A commercial SIP Trunking platform was added to Broadvox’s portfolio in 2007. Labeled as the GO!SIP Trunking platform, products designed by Broadvox deliver discounted VoIP phone services and solution in north America. Since 2008, the unified communications and VoIP service provider began selling broadband to deliver high levels of connectivity, voice quality and security.
“Calysto has hit the ground running, and we are impressed with the Calysto team’s knowledge of public relations, social media and the VoIP industry,” said David Byrd , Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We look forward to working with Calysto to promote our hosted cloud solutions with robust voice and data communications services, and supporting our entry into new IP telephony and application markets for SMBs, Enterprises and carriers.”
Broadvox acquired Cypress Communications on January 7, 2011, gaining access to the company’ award-winning Hosted Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) for small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and enterprises to the Broadvox portfolio.
