Description:First Pest City Telephone Company Co. (ept) was established in 1992 with the aim of solving the supply of telephone services in several districts of Budapest and providing troubleshooting and customer service functions. When ept achieved its mission, its First Pest City Telephone Company Co. (ept) was established in 1992 with the aim of solving the supply of telephone services in several districts of Budapest and providing troubleshooting and customer service functions. When ept achieved its mission, its scope of activities changed following a joint decision of its management and Magyar Telekom, its major owner (97%). As a member of the Magyar Telekom Group, the strategy of the current Company rests on three pillars. 1. Being a Company with no own telecommunication infrastructure but with a flexible structure, ept has aimed at developing for its customers a service portfolio with low investment requirements that provides real business advantages. The VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) department offers several solutions for national business and individual customers and for international business customers. The wholesale section of eptIPtel offers Hungarian termination for foreign partners. At ept we add value for our international partners by providing very competitively priced, quality based wholesale transit of voice minutes to Hungary, Central Europe and the World. Through our network of Direct Interconnections and knowledge of the region, we can provide your business with cost-effective voice connections to these rapidly growing markets. Once thought of as a simpler, cheaper replacement for circuit switched telephony, our company provides international Wholesale Termination and Origination services via Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). The first specific product developed and implemented is eptIPtel - an IP-based service for international and domestic distance calls. The retail section of eptIPtel offers interna-tional and domestic calls mainly for Hungarian companies at favourable prices. At the beginning of 2005 ept developed a new solution for telecommunications, eptNETphone. The new service is recommended both for companies and individuals in Hungary who has broadband Internet or cable Internet connection and would like to reduce their costs significantly this way. 2. A further strategic product goes beyond traditional telecommunication services. As a first in Hungary, ept implemented a complex customer relationship system supporting sales, customer services and marketing (Customer Relationship Management - CRM). Relying on its customer service, customer care and CRM background, ept has developed its Contact Centre product including data collection for market research, campaign monitoring and sales functions as well as customer services for hire. So far ept has offered this service for Hungarian companies but now is also looking for international partners who would like to replace their call centres to Hungary. 3. The third major group of products of ept includes the services provided by the T-Com Official Partner. The overall customer service includes Magyar Telekom products, telephone and telefax machines as well as T-Online Internet solutions through the latest technological developments of telephony.
