Recently Google has released its new Nexus 6 mobile phone, and it comes with several tweaks, one of which is the fact, that the device is locked for several carriers. Previously Nexus smart phones were open for all carriers and any SIM cards, but it seems that Nexus 6 still can be useful for various carriers in some cases.

In most cases, smart phone users are trying to change the device software and install the information from other carrier there. This can be a difficult process, and you risk blocking your phone forever trying to unblock it. Thus, the news about changing SIM cards is good to hear, not only for Nexus users, but for other smart phone users, because in the end it could be the way to the future.
As of now this was not tested by other users with different carriers and we cannot know how well it works.  And it is better to try doing it yourself. Up until now several reports show information that this method works, but it cannot work in all cases and you cannot be changing carriers with your device. In case you wish trying it by yourself you can simply take your SIM card out and insert other carriers SIM. There will be no damage if you try. In worst case you will receive error message, saying that the SIM is not recognized and you will have to switch back to your SIM.

If you have Google Nexus 6 handset and already tried various SIM cards what did happen? And where initially did you get this phone from?
