Sector, which produced roughly more than 250 000 working places, will produce more than a double yearly income in 2017 up to 182 Billion GBP per year according to the report of The Boston Consulting Group.

The report titled „Mobile Internet Economy in Europe” describes applications, content and services that are leaders on competitive markets of Germany, France, United Kingdom, Spain and Italy (known as EU5).

According to a BCG partner and the co-author of the report, Dominic Field – „Competition throughout the mobile internet ecosystem is driving innovation, growth, jobs, and a continually improving experience for consumers and businesses".

Consumer advantages
The decrease in prices for mobile devices will continue to favour the consumers as well as the market itself - the report says.

While stressing the importance of staying connected, most of EU5 consumers stated that they are ready to give up on majority of online media sources except television, rather than losing their access to Mobile Internet. 

More than a half of respondents were ready to give up alcohol, every fifth one was ready to sacrifice their personal car and 17% agreed not to have sexual relations, in order to be online using Mobile Internet.

Application will lead the way
According to the report; major part of the success of Mobile Internet is the ever growing number of applications, with approximately 200 Billion applications downloaded from various online sources. First ever application was developed in 2008.

In 2013 there were more than 100 Billion downloads, from which 20 Billion were made only in EU.

Leading Mobile operators paid Application stores more that 15 Billion US dollars between June 2013 and July 2014.

The report also points out that some of the biggest and more successful global developers of Mobile game applications are in located Europe.

One of such developers is a Swedish online casino Leo-Vegas, which rapidly gains positions across Europe.

Not so long ago this company has received two Awards for Gaming Applications continuing their success from EGR Operator Awards the month before.

During the month of December Leo-Vegas has gifted the active users of their site 1000 GBP daily, and later 100 000 GBP on a New Year’s.
